This work is an updated review of the knowledge of the Scolecida infraclass recorded in Venezuela. It provides a brief diagnosis of the families that constitute the Scolecida (Annelida: Polychaeta: Sedentaria), identification keys of all the Scolecida species that have been recorded on the Venezuelan coasts, and information on some taxonomic problems that must be solved. This review aims to provide a tool to help students and professionals interested in the taxonomy of polychaetes, so that they can more accurately determine the scolecids present on the coasts of Venezuela.
